University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

I think it’s worth mentioning that the 2019 BSN to DNP cohort found out on this Monday of April that year. So it’s actually possible we hear today. When we got decisions for UF’s ABSN program, they sent them all out right at 5pm. So I would probably check your emails today around 5pm, but don’t dwell on it if 5pm passes and there’s nothing.

I also saw someone say that UF said there were a lot of applicants that applied, so IDK. I’m just sayin LOL 

Fall 2020 got emails around April 20-21st last year. Could be a whole week too ??

I got an email from UF admissions at 8pm last night saying that they updated my residency status (it was previously blank). I wonder if this is at all indicative of decisions being about to drop?!?! When I saw UF admissions in my email I was like OMG...and then it was just a resident status update ?

I got that email a few months back as I was applying. It just confirms you're a Floridian for tuition purposes.

I don’t necessarily think that would hold you back from being admitted since I’m assuming that’s just for financial reasons. I’d call and ask them!

They need to hurry up and send out acceptance emails LOL. I’m so nervous. I have been having dreams that I got accepted LOL.
