University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

We’re gonna find out this week, on any given day. Could be today. And when they release decisions it’ll be at 5pm EST.

I stalked the allnurses forums for previous UF BSN to DNP cohorts and none of them went past this week of April without getting their decisions (the latest being April 22nd and the earliest being April 11th based off of the last 4 years). And the 5pm thing is just how they consistently have done things in the past. This will be my 3rd degree from UF (if I get in), my BSN being from them, and they released decisions at 5pm on the dot for everyone each time, for both programs that I’ve applied to with them. I would genuinely be surprised if we don’t find out this week. They’ve always been consistent.

I’ve been following along this forum for a while for updates, and finally made an account today. Hi everybody!  The wait is killing me as well!  
I have offers from two schools (USF and UCF)  but UF is my first choice for their PMHNP so I’m trying to delay decisions as far as I can.

I emailed the admissions director last week saying something along the lines of... I know plenty of people must be keeping you busy asking about the decisions but is the dept on track for the mid  April- early may deadline? She stated that yes they were, but if that The department needed extra time due to the volume of applications, applicants would be notified. 
 

So, I’m truly hoping poster above is correct and that decisions will be out this week, but... with the GRE being waived.... who knows how many applied?

I have a feeling it’s going to be May with that response... dang. Because if they had tons of applicants and “would notify us if they need more time” then IDK why I feel like they’re probably really busy.
