Hello everyone 

I wanted to start a forum for those who will be applying to the UCSD New Grad program March 2025

applications opened yesterday and this would be a place for everyone to keep each other updated on the process!

My status got changed to "consideration for an interview" after it was scheduled

I'm still waiting on LJ ICU and one PCU still says referred. Has anyone heard back or have interviews for either one?

Hillcrest ICU changed to position filled on 10/29 so seems like it might have been internal, because that was quick!

that is fast! wow that was my top choice but my status changed on it to "others more competitive" so fast LOL

Had my interview in 6BMT today, very straightforward. A few situational, a few behavioral, overall short and sweet. They said they are doing interviews just today and should find out in 1-2 weeks. I have a feeling we will now before the holiday but we will see.

I just got a rejection letter from Hillcrest OR. Said they are going with a canidate better qualified...after I had the interview and everything (I thought) went really great. I've worked in the OR for 13 years as a surgical tech and highly doubt there is someone more qualified. Who are they trying to play with these tactics?

Hi do you mean they are only doing interviews today for all departments or just 6BMT?

Just received notice that LJ ICU job post was cancelled. They are unable to accommodate new grads 😞

La Jolla ICU just canceled their application due to unavailability for new grad training 😞

Unfortunately I have read a lot of forums, threads and FB groups about UCSD and it sounds like they hire their own a lot. People who worked there as a CNA, pct, or did clinic there. Not sure if it's true but It seems like most who get interviews had some sort of connection already.
