University of California at San Diego (UC San Diego) New Grad Residency March 2025

Published

Hello everyone

I wanted to start a forum for those who will be applying to the UCSD New Grad program March 2025

applications opened yesterday and this would be a place for everyone to keep each other updated on the process!

Hello, I hope more people join. I have submitted my applications. Good luck to everybody! I applied to Emergency Services and ICU. Please if you get hired let us know!

I also applied to ER and ICU. Spots are very limited but never know unless you try.

Good luck! I applied to oncology and ER.

For your cover letters, did you have separate ones for each specific unit or did you just have a generic one for all of the units listed on the PCU, one cover letter for all the units listed in the Oncology, etc?

I personally had a separate cover letter for each unit I applied to!

Hello!

Has anyone heard of them hiring people with an interim license/permit?

This is one of the few new grad programs I saw there was a chance to apply before officially licensed. Application states "California RN license by start date. Depending on applicant pool, may consider interim permits.”

Graduating Jan 2025, hoping to take the NCLEX February or early March but I know it depends on school processing...

I applied to 4 positions and I already received a "others more competitive" yesterday. Waiting on the other three.

I applied to 5 and got "others more competitive" for 2 already.

Hi everyone😊 I applied to La Jolla Emergency. Best of luck to everyone!

I got others more competitive one 2 waiting on 2 more

May I ask which units responded already?
