University of California at San Diego (UC San Diego) New Grad Residency March 2025

Published

Hello everyone

I wanted to start a forum for those who will be applying to the UCSD New Grad program March 2025

applications opened yesterday and this would be a place for everyone to keep each other updated on the process!

I was referred to hiring dept for La Jolla ER!!

I'm at "referred to hiring department" for La Jolla ICU as of today!

Does anyone know the timeline for this process? How long until we may get an interview? Just curious. Thank you.

It's definitely unit dependent. I got an email yesterday to schedule an interview for ICU. And I just got a call from the oncology unit to ask some intro questions. The guy that called said if they decide to move forward with my application they'll call end of this week or next week to schedule an interview. I haven't heard from PCU or La Jolla ICU yet. This is my 2nd time applying and it was about the same. Last time, there were some units I got "referred" but never heard anything from them. I had a friend that hadn't heard from some units until a month or even 2 months later. So it's variable. Don't stress too much yet because some of the units take a really long time - especially PCU since there are a lot of units in that category.

Congratulations and best of luck! Do you mind sharing your nursing experience? Have you worked or have clinical experience at ucsd?

Got referred to hiring department for ICU La Jolla! Not sure what this means but sounds hopeful

Hello everybody, I applied for a total of 5 at the end. I got "Others more competitive" for Med surg/Onc/ICU, and ICU HIllcrest. I got "Referred to hiring department" for La Jolla Emergency Services, and PCU. I still have "Application Received" for East IMU/PCU.

Best of luck to everybody!!

Thank you! I don't have any nursing experience at the moment, but I did have an externship through UCSD.

I have referred to hiring for PCU/IMU and the ICU position. Anyone know if they have a timeline when they will reach out?

Anybody apply to the OR and get an interview with Hillcrest Main OR?
