University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I did not see a conversation on UCLA MECN 2024. This is a topic for everyone who has applied to the MECN program for 2024! Good luck everyone, I am getting a little nervous. We should get acceptance letters by mid-February!

Hi everyone!

Congrats to all those accepted. I know its been a journey for many of us. For some of you, I'm sure It's rough not to hear he news you were hoping for. I wish you the best. Thankfully there are lots of options in California. I applied to UCI twice and was not accepted. I did get into Mount Saint Mary's accelerated BSN and think that is a great option for folks.

Question for those accepted and already submitted your SIR-Do you currently have access to the graduate portal? I have been having trouble logging in since Saturday. I just want to download my acceptance letter to my desktop since I viewed it on my phone.

Thanks

Has no one been admitted yet?

I believe all decisions have been released ?

Hello! Congrats to everyone who was accepted! I'm wondering if there is anyone who is planning on rejecting their acceptance or knows anyone who is? I'm anxious and on the waitlist LOL

OMG I just got accepted😭

Congratulations!

Hi all,

I got accepted into the program Feb 29th and they sent the email at around 11pm.

My stats: 3.6 cumulative, 4.0 pre-requisite (based on required courses to apply)

Did a lot like CNA work, office work at a hospital (I asked my hospital if I can shadow nurses), and some public health work. I don't wanna dox myself so I'm keeping it kinda broad but giving an idea for future applicants. Did volunteering as well (non-healthcare).

I think best advice for future applicants is honestly to follow the application guide for the program and make everything very cohesive. I had a really specific idea of what type of nursing/career I wanted to do/have and how UCLA might get me there as well as life experiences that informed that idea.

I wish more people spoke about the application process! So, I'm paying it forward. Good luck to everyone on waitlist and future applicants. To my cohort, see you all in September!

Congratulations to everyone that was accepted!  I'm wondering if anyone can share when the deadline is to accept your admission to the program? I'm on the waitlist and waiting to hear back from other schools too, just wanted to get a rough idea of when I should expect to have a more final...status? I guess? for UCLA's program. Very anxious like everyone else!

Thank you so much! Congratulations :)

Does anyone know if there is a deposit fee to commit to UCLA?

On my end it doesn't show there is a deposit needed. I believe someone else said the same.
