heyyyyy! Who all is applying to University of Arizona DNP CRNA this cycle? Any current students have thoughts about the hybrid format and traveling clinical sites? I heard the faculty is wonderful!

Hello everyone. I’m also applying. Trying to secure my references has been a little challenging. I have a few questions if anyone doesn’t mind responding:

1. Who did you all use for references? Supervisor, manager, colleague etc. 

2. Is a personal statement required? On the NursingCAS app I only saw questions to answer nothing about personal statement or GRE. 


3. does anyone know how many students U of A admit? Seeing different numbers on the website.

4. on the science GPA calculator did you guys include you math courses or just sciences?

jaytayBSN - no math is not included in the science GPA - 

I would suggest attending an informational session - they had one a month ago maybe they'll have another once again before application closes. 

The personal statement is comprised of the questions that you have to answer. There are 4 questions and all have to be up to 250 words I believe it was. There isn't a separate personal statement to submit. 

I used one professor, 1 director and 1 charge nurse. 

No GRE is required.

I think the personal statement are the questions they have you answer under NursingCas. I used my director (manager), a charge nurse, and a past nursing instructor when I was in nursing school. It didn’t say or ask me anything about science GPA and it says GRE is not required.

Anyone know when we’re supposed to hear back about interviews?

You mean as to whether we get interview invites? Do you know if this school sends rejection or acceptance letters for interviews? 

For many schools, it takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks to be notified of an interview invite.

One of the schools I applied to had an application deadline on 06/01/2021 and I barely got notified of an interview invite on September 1st! That’s insane

I have no clue. I don’t really know a whole about their process. But yes I was referring to interview invites.

I’ve applied to 15 schools in total. Got rejected by one right away. Went to 2 interviews and got rejected there.

 

got 4 pending interviews to complete this coming week ? I get so much anxiety with interviews… my palms start sweating.

Fifteen wow that’s a lot! Congrats on your interviews coming up! And from what I read on previous threads it looks like they send interview invites out early October
