Hi! Planning on applying in 2022. Does anyone know if U of A requires Physics? I feel like the website it confusing - is it required for admission? Or just must be included in calculating science GPA IF taken? TIA! ?

I'm planning on applying too! Eek! I'm getting so excited.

No physics requirement!

Applying this round!

Any advice about the interview?!

Hi guys, for those applying this year, how did you find the application on nursing CAS? I cant seem to find it. Also, do they require a graduate statistics course? Thank for your help

Application for this year has not opened yet this won’t be on Nursing CAS yet.  Check the UofAsite but believe that opens July 15.  The curriculum includes a statistics course that will be taken during the program.

I have a 20-minute virtual interview on Wednesday. This is my absolute dream school. I have wanted this for so long. What kind of students are they looking for? How can I stand out against 80 other applicants for 18 spots? Any advice is appreciated!

Specializes in Trauma, Neuro, SICU, MICU.

Be yourself.

If it is listed in your resume, be prepared to discuss it.

If you don’t know the answer, tell them. Then redirect to something you do know.

Granted they will ask you planned questions, but you control the conversation thereafter.  If you have a strength that you can cling to in each answer, use up the time discussing that.

Know how you plan to contribute professionally and prepare to answer typical interview questions, but be you!

Look in the mirror and prepare to discuss what you can add, why you are unique and focus on that.

Look at every possible interview question they can ask but in a way to turn the conversation back to why you!

Remember that there will be more opportunities, so just be yourself!

The faculty is awesome, and this isn’t their first rodeo so again…be YOU and at the end of the day learn from the experience!  Best of luck!

Thank you so much! That’s fantastic advice.

Make sure you know ABG interpretations. Ventilator settings,  what will you do ifvyou fail an exam?, why university of Arizona,  what drips do you use in your unit? Show that you will be committed to the program.

Absolutely! I am currently reviewing all my ccrn information. I am beyond committed and I want them to know that. I realize there will always be a better applicant on paper or better interviewer but I have been committed to this career path since I was 8. I just want to show them I would be such a hardworking student in their program.
