The University of Alabama (UA) MSN program - Fall 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has anyone received any updates regarding their applications for UA MSN distance program for fall 2024??? I applied specifically for the PMHNP program. I completed my interview on 2/18, reached out to Vickie Samuel shortly after and she said I would have a decision within two weeks. It's coming up on two weeks and I haven't heard anything yet. In the portal my status says "department review in progress" and I also have a campus wide ID.

I've heard if you're offered an interview and are assigned a CWID there is a good chance you will be accepted. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Any guidance or information would be much appreciated!! I am anxiously awaiting a decision and it's getting harder and harder as the days go by.

I've applied and have received the link to complete the virtual interview, but that is it so far. I know they are on Spring Break from the 8th to the 17th of this month, so hopefully a response will follow soon. Do you mind sharing how your interview went?

Utilize the practice session/questions to get comfortable with the platform...and just go for it!! I feel like I did okay, I know I was extremely nervous and watching the clock the entire time 🤣

Get comfortable with the format! It is a little odd, but unlike most interviews you get 30 seconds to pull your thoughts together. I tried really hard to make sure I wasn't looking away, etc. I saw some people say they aimed to talk for the entire two minutes, but most of my answers were 1:30-1:45. I didn't want to sound like I was rambling to fill time.

Hey Savannah! The interview format is very different from anything I've done before. I took lots of time practicing with the camera on but I would use different questions that I felt were more relevant to the actual interview. Once I started the actual interview, I was beyond nervous and I know I was talking faster than I normally would so I answered my questions in less than 90 seconds.. The biggest thing I can say about it all, just be YOU and speak from your heart. ♥️ you got this!! please keep me updated!

Has anyone heard within the last week or so if they got in? Finished my interview about 2 weeks ago.
