I'm in the Pre-Nursing program at Union County College. I was hoping to get an invited to register for NURE 130 next year, but from what I have been reading on some other posts, that hope is shot to h---. Anyway, I have been trying to find out if they require an entrance exam. I've been searching on the UCC website and anywhere else I can to find anything referring to an exam. All can find is information about their ranking point system. I know Muhlenberg requires an entrance exam (are they still open?). Does Trinitas require any entrance exams?

No, there is no entrance exam. I was just accepted a week or so ago..and I don't think they even got all my transcripts.
They also accepted me for the present semester, even though I wouldn't be abel to start until the fall.

If there admissions is that simple maybe I should run over there and enroll:yeah:
Just as an update, i went too UCC and they advised me you have to be invited to the nure130 which can take up to 1 year or more
Yeah..that's what the acceptance letter said. You can do the other pre-reqs (by then, they will be co-reqs) while waiting for the nursing classes..which some people do.
I haven't talked to them yet because they aren't my first choice.
They actualy arent my first choice but I want to keep my options open...my first choice is actually ST. Vincents school of nursing and beth Isreal so I guess that would be my first and second choice.
Are you in NY?
Yes I am Brooklyn, because I going to take a leave from work to pursue my degree in nursing I wanted to keep all of my options open.
Totally feel ya. Same thing for me. I will be working..but not the job I have presently. And I'm looking forward to the day I say "Peace!!" :rotfl:
I totally feel you on that... that is how I feel about my current job!
LOL! I started a thread that's titled "Ready to tell your present job to kick rocks?" lol Look it up :-)

Hello all,
I will be attending Union County for the Fall Semester and I am interested in attending the Trinitas School of Nursing and I need some advice from those who are already in the program. Here is my situation:
I applied online in May, waiting to hear from them for months (like an idiot)
Finally decided to go down there.. I had to fill out an application again and transfer marticulation form.
I am a NYC who is willing to pay any amount of money to get my RN degree
I have a B.S. with all of my sciences, psych etc.
I spoke to a counselor at UCC and the only classes I need to take is the nursing courses and one humanities course (which I dont think I need)-
I was told that I have to take some classes at UCC to build a GPA with them to be considered for the program (which i believe is understandable)
Did anyone take Nurse 130-131 together? Is that possible.
How much did you guys pay for each nursing course, uniform etc?
