  1. Thanks miss81 I am actually gonna try to find it, do they carry the lotion at Walmart?
  2. Ok, thanks, Outside of hospital my hands are ok and I have my regular products I use, but that same stuff doesnt really seem to do the trick while on my clinical, with the constant hand washing. I am gonna find a travel size of the nivea to see how that works. Thanks a bunch!
  3. I am going into my third week of clinical and my hands have become extremely dry from the washing and gloving all day. What is the best lotion to use while working?
  4. yes note cards is a must!!! and the objectives in each chapter is your foul proof study guide!!!
  5. Everyone is right on point with the suggestions, being a LPN student about 6 weeks so far, its no joke. Its a lot of studying, sometimes I found the web to be a great resource for finding even more information, because sometimes seeing the same thing worded different either from another person or school helps. Also I found reviewing the information for at least 1.5 hours a day is helping me because if you wait until the night before an exam it helps unless of course that works for you.:caduceus: Good luck!
  6. Thats great, they are reworking the entire program. I am currently enrolled in the Day program; 1 week in. The teachers are great so far. Hope you get in! Good luck!!
  7. sounds even better I will look into that as well, because I was looking at the wrong course I was a little sticker shocked but I did find one near me for $70 I will call them in the morning as well.
  8. flightnurse2b: Thanks, I thought it was the cpr not the ACLS, but what threw me off was they said for health care professionals... NycCutie: Well the Edison campus gave us a website and told us to take the course for healthcare professionals which the acls came up under it, so its actually the basic cpr class then. Right? Maybe this is a sign, should I transfer to the Paramus campus.
  9. Ok, its been awhile since I have posted. Just trying to get the family and household in order before class start in June. But this is my Biggest hurdle is I still havent gotten my cpr/acls certification. I was under the impression that I needed the cpr but after the first orientation I was told it was the ACLS. Now they refer to americanheart.org but all the classes are almost $300:imbar for the ACLS. I wanted to know if the cpr cert. would be just as good, or if anyone has gotten the certification for free or less than $300 pleassssseee let me know, classes officially start June 15, but final orientation is June 11-12. (oh yeah in case you dont know, I will be attending Lincoln Tech in Edison, NJ).
  10. maybe during orientation we will get the list because so far my advisor said we had to get it on our own.. has anyone else attending the Edison campus hear the same thing? I do know at one point they was suppose to have a class there.
  11. Congrats on the graduation, I was actually there that day in March during the Graduation taking my entrance exam. Very nice ceremony from what I saw.
  12. Also, did everyone take there CPR class already? I am still trying to find one that isnt over $100, or is that the going fee?
  13. Congrats to everyone!! Its good to finally see people are will be attending the Edison location for a second I thought I was alone on here but now I see I was just an early enrollee lol See everyone at orientation later this week:yeah:
  14. Seems like I am the only one attending the Edison campus, I feel like the black sheep:uhoh21:
  15. After reading various post about foot comfort I went with the Berkinstock Clogs they are expensive about $105, I just ordered a pair from ebay new for $39.99:yeah:
