Union County College Nurses

Published

Hello everyone!

I am psyched to be here on this thread with nurse from NJ!.. NJ IS THE BEST!...

Is there anyone here is currently attends Union County College/Trinitas school of nursing?

I am taking my last pre-req's next semester before I start the nursing course in September.

I would LOVE SOMEONE TO TALK to about the program....

I know school keeps you busy but if you have a minute.. please email me to chat..OR.. please offer some words of wisdom for a returned "older"(30) student..

THANK YOU!!!

I know what you mean, i didnt pass NUR130 based on the professor calculation i was suppose to get a C+ and they failed me, just didnt understand, so im applying in other colleges, what schools did you apply for? do you know how's muhlenber school?

Don't be so excited. I was a trinitas student until I was recently failed by my clinical instructor. I was told I can appeal my grade and come back to the program if I wish. I don't wish to do that. This is a program that is very expensive, and has a passing rate of less than 15-25%. I was in the third class, which most people don't even make it too! I had the dean as one of my clinical instructors and we did not hit it off. Since then I have had nothing but problems there! Their teachers are not helpfull at all, and are even nasty at times!! I've spoken to other students at other schools and the passing rate is far better there. Take my advice and go somewhere else!!!!

Hi,i'll be regis for 131 on friday ,do u have any advice for me on studying for quizzes and exams?

Stay at essex. The survival rate of students at ucc in very low!! Poor teaching methods too!!!

I need some answers. I will be attending my 1st year at Union County college Trinitas School of nursing in Fall of 08'. Now I was told by a friend that you dont enter the school right away that there is a waiting list or some courses you have to take 1st. I was wondering was that true and could someone who actually attend the school advise me. If so can you tell me how the whole process works for the first year.

I am a transfer student and I just reg for chemistry and child psych with two by back classes. Ucc accepted about 22 credit from me and i am thankfull. However, i was told that u needed an personal invitation to enter Nur 130. Do anyone know if it's possiable u can get an invitation while your finishing your pre-req. Also, I would like to know is there's anyone that have the same situtaion like me. Waiting for SPring 2008:yeah::icon_roll

Hello

Congrats. Just a quick note. read the syllabus when reading for the material. You dont want to read unnecessary material. Practice your math skills. Those should be free points when you take your exams/quizzes. I just graduated and it was a stressful and great experience all together. you will learn a lot. If you have any questions. you can PM me. Good luck and keep your eyes on the prize. :smokin:

I too have been accepted into their nursing program but decided to go against this and go to Monroe College in the Bronx instead. I have a friend who attends Trinitas, and she says it is very hard to keep up. I personally hear this from all nursing students regardless of what school they attend. Nursing isn't a easy job and training should be difficult. If I were to attend a school that didnt push me i would actually be more scared than happy. However, some professors are more tough than needed, but overall it shall only benefit you in the long run. Sometimes easy isn't always best. Anyway, Congrats on your acceptance, and I am sure you will do you best!!!! Good Luck and Happy Holidays!!!!!!!

Congrats on the invitation
