Hello everyone!

I am psyched to be here on this thread with nurse from NJ!.. NJ IS THE BEST!...

Is there anyone here is currently attends Union County College/Trinitas school of nursing?

I am taking my last pre-req's next semester before I start the nursing course in September.

I would LOVE SOMEONE TO TALK to about the program....

I know school keeps you busy but if you have a minute.. please email me to chat..OR.. please offer some words of wisdom for a returned "older"(30) student..

THANK YOU!!!

just hang in tight and study your materials as much as you can.FYI,i just heard muhlenberg is better and easier than trinitas cos professors at trinitas make the programme a bit hard.

Hello healing hand and to anyone else, i just started nursing 1 at Muhlenberg, do you think that Trinitas is better. I really don't like Muhlenberg and i feel so unmotivated for some reason. Also i need study buddies around union county and middlesex county area...

Tiritas is so motivating....

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I found out that early registration at UCC is on May 3rd...a girlfriend of mine told me to get there very early if I want to get a space in NURE 130. Registration starts at 8:30. I also received my results from my placement test. According to my scores I have to take MATH 115...I can challenge test my results, which I intend to do...I didn't really study before I took the test..... :o

Hello everyone at UCC/Trinatas:

I'm glad that there is a place for students like us to converse. I'm working on my prereqs right now. If all goes well I will begin my nurses courses in the spring of 2005. I can only take a couple of courses per semester because I have a full time job and 3 children. So far everything is working out. I'm trying to save some $$$$$$ so that I can work part-time and spend more time on nursing classes. Just like some of you I'm an "older student" (35) returning to school after so many years, therefore it is a huge adjustment. I hope that this message is reaching all of you. (healing hand, veggienurse, missivy78, da mode, and fnimatl)

Hope to hear from you all.

Hi Fatima:

I hear that Trinatas is a good school. I have not started my Nurses courses yet still working on prereq.

Hi newcomer,

Welcome to the group. I'm a wife and mother to 4 children (9 1/2, 9, 3, 15mths.). I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do about attending Trinitas. I talked to the FA dept. the other day, and they haven't even begun to work on my FA package, so if I go to early registration on May 3rd...I"m going to have to pay a portion of my tuition which I do not have. So I just have to figure a lot of things out. I'm won't know if I'm accepted into ECC's program until around June 15th...I don't know why they wait so long to notify students... :o . Even though ECC would be more affordable to me (I live in the county)...Trinitas has a better reputation as a nursing program. What to do...what to do.

If you think the program at Trinatas is better then go there. I have not started any nursing courses as of yet. I'm still working on prereqs. Since Trinatas contacted you first I assume that's a good sign.:p
First of all you are NOT older ..I'm 37 and am persuing my Nursing degree at Trinitas.

When you start your Nursing in September I guess you are starting with Nurisng 130.

Devote a lot of time to reading.READ REAd REAd READ.

It's a good program and prepares you very well for NCLEX.The NCLEX passing score of trinitas school is therefore very high. You may get grilled in the school exams but you will emerge victorious in NCLEX.

If you really want to know what the course is about.Drop in on 14th January at 4:00 p.m. in auditorium(Elizabeth Campus),when a senior student is having a conference for 132 students.

You will get a lot of tips about how to study, how to manage your time and how to prepare for exams.

This is basically for 132 students, who are going to have their clinical term in spring 2004, in cardiology and respiratory.

If you are doing your pre-requisites now,pay a lot of attention to Bio 105 and Bio 106. Your basics in physiology needs to be very very strong for you to succeed at Nusring school.

When you find time have some Medical distionary reading. Will help you a long way.

Good luck

Glad to see that someone around my age is pursing a nursing career. That's motivating.:)
