UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

I will fully admit I wish there was an essay with a prompt or something in addition to the interview - I think the high-pressure situation of the interview isn't favorable for all personality types and it would be nice to have another barometer of our fit that was easier to prepare for/revise/etc. UNF was my only application this go round, but I'll be applying for UNF/JU/maybe FSCJ for Fall as well, and I'm prepared to try again next Spring for the next round of the accelerated programs if need be. Thankfully I have a very supportive family and friend group, and they have been reminding me that this is just a setback, not an earth-crushing end of the world, lol.

Nursh - I hope you get in off the waitlist, but if you don't, you'll be applying for Fall at the Jax schools as well, right? If so we should chat about the applications/process/etc!

Well I just accepted JU's invitation and sent an email to Beth declining my UNF invitation. So I know one spot will be open for wait listed applicants. I hope one of you folks on the wait list for UNF get my spot :)

You should have gotten an invite when you accepted. You will stay on that page until orientation and then y'all will make your own private cohort page.

Congrats to all of you that were accepted...good luck to all of you on the wait list! The nursing lounge is in building 39a on UNF campus. (The room across the hall from where you all signed in for your interviews). I look forward to seeing all of you soon. (Hopefully I will see some of you at the health fair)

If you need your CPR certification I would! (That's what I'll be doing there). Let me find out about the other stuff. I don't see why you can't get it done, but let me check with Dr. Bloom or Beth tomorrow.

Anybody get a waitlist call yet? I'm assuming we may not until at least after Spring Break / end of march.

I received a call yesterday and accepted the seat! I am not sure what number I was on the wait list but I'm assuming I was pretty high since it came so fast. I'm sure people haven't finished RSVPing and are waiting to hear from other schools before declining/accepting their seat.
