2012 UNF Accelerated BSN Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hey Everyone-

I haven't seen a thread for the UNF 2012 Accelerated BSN yet so i figured I would create one. The previous classes seemed like they got a lot out of sharing with one another so hopeful we can do the same. Feel free to share any information you have, where you are in the application process or just any woes or worries. Let try to help each other along in this stressful process.

Later and good-luck,

Eric

Yes. I looked at my application status and it was there in bright bold letters lol. Couldn't they have used a less imposing color?

Eeh. I'm a realist. I knew I had a snowball's chance in Hawaii. I just wish I picked a better fall back than nutrition.

If nursing is what you want to do than don't give up! There is always next summer or even this fall! I applied to 6 schools....UNF if the only one I still have a shot at....and even if I get bad news I'll apply to all 6 again....I'm meant to do this even if it takes me a little longer

Mine still says departmental referral. How do you know you were denied?

I don't plan on giving up. I may just have to look elsewhere. I'd really hate to have to go somewhere like Chamberlain, though.

Mine said "departmental referral" this morning. Now it just says "deny".

I am sorry for you! Best of luck - you will make it happen. Thank you for sharing this info with all of us.

mine says deny now too :(

I am so sorry. Don't give up!

I'm sorry to hear that samiam856. I'm definitely looking into JU and possibly going back to FSCJ for their AS degree.

Remember don't ever give up. One of the current nursing students in my group who talked to us before the interview was denied for summer, reapplied for the fall and got accepted. So don't ever give up!!!! Everyone who has made it this far, can make it all the way. Ae2awmailey, please consider all public schools before going to Chamberlain. I used to be an admissions representative at a private for profit school. They just cost so much more money and student loan debt is no joke.

Mine says denied now as well. Better luck next year. Good luck to everyone.

I'd be interested to know if anyone's says anything but "deny". As for the cost, I'm not too concerned. I have the Post-9/11 GI Bill. I just don't want to go to a school that isn't all that selective about the caliber of students they let in.
