UNC Rex 2017 New Graduate Nurse Residency Program

Published

Hello! Just wondering if anyone heard back for UNC Rex New Grad RN program starting in July2017 yet? I applied the first day it open (January 2017). So far, all my applications have ben forwarded to the hiring manager. One states that the hiring manager is reviewing it.

Thanks! :D

Both of my applications still say "Application Received. Due to the high volume of applications, you may not hear from us directly unless you are a final candidate. Please continue to monitor your application from your online account."

I've been obsessively checking everyday... I have had the "withdraw application" button disappear for a few hours but it came back for both.

It's good to know they are at least going through the applications now and not sitting on them. I probably won't be getting a call at this point seeing as a comment on here says that ICU choices have already been made, and I doubt ED has any spots left.

Thank you for trying to help me though, ktayrn20213. :) Have a good one!

I've heard through the grapevine Rex has like 7 CNAs graduating nursing school in the ED so they aren't planning on hiring outside of that pool.. that's just word of mouth though.

Wait, they are only selecting two new graduates? Wow..

They only hired two for the m/sicu

Hi! I have a question did anyone hear back that applies for women's and children's? Mine still says forwarded to manager so I don't know if that's a good sign 😔

Mine still says forwarded to manager. I suppose it depends unit to unit on how proactive they are to respond.

For those of you who ended up starting at Rex.... what was the new grad pay?!

I would love to know the starting pay as well. Also, I know UNC is a state job with state benefits... does that mean rex is as well?

Thanks guys!
