Hello! Just wondering if anyone heard back for UNC Rex New Grad RN program starting in July2017 yet? I applied the first day it open (January 2017). So far, all my applications have ben forwarded to the hiring manager. One states that the hiring manager is reviewing it.

Thanks! :D

On the 23rd...

Mine was on the 27th.

They made the decisions for the ICU positions! Did you hear anything?

Nope.. guess that answers my question. Congrats!

Did either of you apply to the women & children's or medical surgical floor?

I applied to UNC as well and also said I was interested in anything other than Psych/Pulmonary. I also said I would be interested in Hillsborough Hospital. Will that help me? I'm from out of state.

How did you find out? Did they call you?

No, Just ICU and cancer center

This makes me sad that I haven't heard back yet, but I guess it is because I applied on the 28th. I love Raleigh, and being so close to my alma mater NC State would have been great. I'm an ADN student an hour or so away, so I can see why I would be a risk they didn't want to take. Guess it's a sign that I need to stay close to home...

Congrats everyone that received an offer! :) Rex is a fantastic hospital! Good luck!

I got an email from the manager. I don't know if it was because I recently emailed her about the status of the hiring process. Because when I originally talked with her, she told me that they were making their decisions on Friday and that those selected would be contacted by HR within the next week. But you can check your application status on the rex careers website. It will say, "The Hiring Manager is interested in offering you a position. Communication regarding next steps should be forthcoming" if you were hired. They only selected two new grads. I'm not sure how many they interviewed but that didn't seem like very many to select. If you were selected, HR should send the offer within the next week.

I seem to have applied too late to get an interview. I definitely should have made Rex a priority to get done first! On to WakeMed and Vidant I go! :)

Good luck to you!

I would just go online to website and check your application, if you remember your password that's probably the easiest way to find out.
