Hey! Anyone else on these forums that are awaiting a decision letter from Chapel Hill for their BSN program starting in May? I was waitlisted for last years program so I am cautiously optimistic on my chances. I was surprised that there hadn't been a forum started for this years program. It's getting down to the wire now and I am beginning to count the days!
I got waitlisted as well. So essentially I'm in the same boat as last year. So frustrating, but I'm still hoping I will get into Pembroke. I will say for those of you that got waitlisted you can call and they will give you lots of ideas on ways to improve your application should you choose to reapply the next year. One of the big things for me was my lack of CNA experience which was something I was just not able to fit into my schedule. Congratulations to everyone who got in!
Does anyone by any chance know anyone who has been waitlisted before and later got accepted? I'm also wondering how they notify you of your acceptance?
Also bnb2017, I was thinking about the lack of a ranking earlier, and I think they must reevaluate candidates on the wait list prior to offering acceptance. If you notice on the wait-list reply form it says, "...and the date on which the course(s) will be completed to include in the final evaluation."
CNA2204, I'm assuming you don't have to pay a fee to reserve your seat, correct? Thanks for sharing that information. I doubt many people will be declining UNC, and definitely not initially if no cost is required to reserve their seat. Just trying to get any details about the potential of people getting accepted off the waitlist relatively soon. Thank you for your help, and congrats on your acceptance!

I called the nursing school and they told me that in her 7 years of working there, she's only seen a handful get denied from undergraduate admissions. She said, "I wouldn't worry about it too much". Msb27 that's a good point. Although I have finished all my prerequisites.
