UNC-CH BSN May 2017

Published

Hey! Anyone else on these forums that are awaiting a decision letter from Chapel Hill for their BSN program starting in May? I was waitlisted for last years program so I am cautiously optimistic on my chances. I was surprised that there hadn't been a forum started for this years program. It's getting down to the wire now and I am beginning to count the days!

I'm worried my cumulative GPA is too low. But I have B's in all my prerequisites and in the two courses they don't require before acceptance. (patho, and nutrition)

Just stay positive! The decision has already been made, you just haven't seen it yet. It is out of your hands! Hope for the best, and there will always be a next time and they will give you advice on how to be more competitive!!

Has anyone noticed the tab on Connect Carolina that says Schedule planner?

Nothing in the mail again today :(

Are you serious?! This is ridiculous!

Carolina1027 I agree. I almost wish that they hadn't told us when they sent them out because I'm tired of staring out the window until the mail gets here every morning. Every day since Wednesday I've been thinking today is the day, and then nothing haha. If we don't get them by next Monday or Tuesday I'm going to call, because if so there's a lot of missing letters somewhere (if they were sent on the 7th) haha.

Also brianar07, yes I see that tab on Connect Carolina.

Just got my rejection letter. Good luck to everyone!

Brianar07, I'm so sorry to hear that. Keep your head up, I have heard that it is more difficult to get into the 6-term BSN vs. the 4-term ABSN. You might want to consider applying to the 4-term! From everything I have read from previous threads, apparently they don't accept many second degree students for the 6-term BSN, so I'm thinking there's a good chance I won't get in either. I'm just ready to find out. Where do you live? I'm surprised I didn't receive anything today, because I live close to Chapel Hill.

Strange. I didn't get anything either, and I live less than an hour away. I went to UNC for undergrad, and we have to make a decision by Friday, so if they aren't here by Monday, something has to be wrong.

Just received a wait-list letter. The stress continues but fingers crossed I'll end up getting accepted. Good luck everyone!

longor11, where do you live? Shocked I didn't get anything today ugh haha

Also longor11 if you don't mind me asking, what are you academic stats? GPA, volunteer hrs, work experience, etc? I kind of want to see where I may stand between wait-list, acceptance, and rejection. Thank you!
