UNC-CH BSN May 2017

Hey! Anyone else on these forums that are awaiting a decision letter from Chapel Hill for their BSN program starting in May? I was waitlisted for last years program so I am cautiously optimistic on my chances. I was surprised that there hadn't been a forum started for this years program. It's getting down to the wire now and I am beginning to count the days!

I applied for this year and called this morning to check on my letter. They said all decision letters for their BSN program were sent out on Tuesday and that campus mail can be really really slow. They also said that the decisions will eventually be posted in our Connect Carolina portals but that the letter will probably arrive first. Apparently, the nursing school sends the letters, but the main admission office for UNC posts the decisions online so that's why it takes longer.

I thought "waves" just meant they sent them out according to status. So maybe, admitted, waitlisted, and rejected! I've been so anxious this is killing me!

Yea, msB27, I heard the same thing as Carolina1027 about not seeing a status update on Connect Carolina until after people already received letters! Which is annoying since we're all dying in anticipation here haha.

Well I guess it's very unlikely for any of us to receive anything today, which is a huge bummer. I looked up the thread for May bsn 2016, and apparently the majority of them received letters three days after the nursing school mailed them out. I'm hoping tomorrow is the day, I'm so tired of waiting!

My mail hasn't even come yet, but if those of you who live relatively close to Chapel Hill didn't get one, I doubt I will.

Does anyone else have 2 items under "financial aid" that are titled "direct loan master prom note" and "loan entrance conf/ sub/unsub" ??

Nope! Mine says Financial Aid in process. That looks like a pretty promising clue that you've been accepted! Even without the letter!

Oh no I don't see that on mine! Is that directly under your financial aid area on Carolina correct?? I'm nervous now

It's said that for a while.. So I don't think that's any indication of an acceptance haha. But if you log onto your connect Carolina and on the far right side under "to do list" click on financial aid (mine is above "general items") and that's where it says that!

I'm pretty sure mine just says that because I applied for FAFSA.
