UNC BSN 2015

Hi all, I just submitted my UNC BSN application for the Summer 2015 program and I wanted to start this thread. I'm super anxious about waiting for the decision especially since there are so many that typically apply. Anyone else applying? Are there any current UNC students that have some insight about the program or admissions?

There was no due date listed. Just gave you options to pay by credit, checking or defer until financial aid is awarded.

Hey everyone,

Been lurking awhile and I'm also a second degree student that was waitlisted for the May 2015 cohort. Fortunately today I received an email with an acceptance letter! Congrats to everyone that was accepted and I will keep my fingers crossed for those still on the waitlist. There are 2 mandatory pre-orientation meetings this weekend (one on Saturday and one on Sunday and you pick one), so I'm sure they should be sending out more acceptances to those on the waitlist probably today and tomorrow. Congratulations! Even after the pre-orientation session there is still a chance for waitlisted students up until the day before classes start. I think the deadline for materials covered in the pre-orientation session is in mid-April so there's still time.

Thanks yall! I was given a deadline of March 24th to turn in the offer reply letter, which I sent in today. You're supposed to put on there which pre-orientation session you want to attend this weekend, however they didn't send any information on where the session is held and such. Does anyone know where the sessions are held? I hoping to attend the one on Sunday.

Second degree (actually, 3rd) BSN3 from UNC here!!

Hang in there, guys. I was waitlisted until right after pre-orientation, and completed all my compliance materials (online modules, physical, 2 PPDs, immunizations, etc) by mid April. They will work with you. I am told that it is harder to get into the BSN program as a second degree student than the ABSN. For those of you that got in already, congratulations! Feel free to ask me questions.

Only one month away! Time is flying by pretty fast. Hope everyone is doing well.

Found out I got accepted a couple of days ago via phone and email!! Don't give up! I heard that there are approximately 50 UNC undergrad students that need to make a B- or higher in their advanced physiology course before they are guaranteed admission, which their finals are not until late the week before the BSN program starts. There's still hope for the rest of you! I just need to decide where I want to go… I also got into the HEA scholars and ABSN program at Duke. They both seem like amazing opportunities and I'm struggling to decide!
