I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for UNC's ABSN program starting in January 2014. There is another thread on here, but it looks like it's only about Duke's applicant pool. I know the application isn't due until August 10th, but when I applied to Duke for the fall I found talking to others in the same situation helped with my nerves! :)
I hope everyone's application is going well so far! Let's keep each other updated on how things are going throughout the process and share information as we go. Good luck to everyone!!
Just a quick reminder, they may have mailed out the decisions yesterday, but it was a Federal Holiday. The letters wouldn't have been picked up and sorted until today. Here's hoping for a positive letter in the mail tomorrow!
Mine still says "... Your decision is not available at this time" and thanks to whoever said it was a federal holiday.. I had completely forgot. Well I hope no news at this points means something good
As of this morning my status is still "...decision is not yet available" I hope this is a good sign
I hope so too :) I checked it at about 1 this morning and I guess it was updating or something because I couldn't sign on to the portal, but I checked it this morning and there was no change.. Fingers crossed that this is something positive, I wished I knew how many times their system updated.. My guess is just once around midnight but I don't know :/
Mine is also not yet available ...but connectcarolina only updates during business hours until around 5 pm since it is actually updated manually by people in office ..so best bet (if you can wait haha) is to check at or around 5 today and it wont change
I didn't get in. I was hoping to be at least waitlisted so I wouldn't feel so unwanted.
So sorry Casey. This is my third time applying and after being rejected the second time, I set up a phone appointment with Kathy Moore, Assistant Dean. She was able to give me advice on what to do to make my next application better. Thank you for updating us and don't be discouraged. I am sure you are a great candidate.
