UNC ABSN applicants - Spring 2014

Published

Hi everyone,

I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for UNC's ABSN program starting in January 2014. There is another thread on here, but it looks like it's only about Duke's applicant pool. I know the application isn't due until August 10th, but when I applied to Duke for the fall I found talking to others in the same situation helped with my nerves! :)

I hope everyone's application is going well so far! Let's keep each other updated on how things are going throughout the process and share information as we go. Good luck to everyone!!

Ahhh! So nervous now! I will be refreshing like crazy as well @Rthom09. Good luck everyone :)

and good luck to everybody!

The closer it gets to decision time, the harder and harder it gets!

and I just thought about it..my admissions to do items might also be up like that since I just graduated from there in May and I never left the system...I had older applications where I had started applying to other programs my junior year and it lists the same thing for those.

Has anyone gotten anything in the mail? I know it's unlikely that we'd get anything in the mail before tomorrow or Thursday since it was a postal holiday yesterday but it would be so nice!!

I've been checking that as well, especially since I live in Chapel Hill I thought I might hear there first but nothing yet. Will keep yall posted!

I just asked the online counselor and the letters were mailed yesterday!

I just asked the online counselor and the letters were mailed yesterday!

Ah thanks for the info! Did they happen to say if we when they would be posting on our portals? Now I'll be stalking my mailbox as well...

All they said was that everyone would hear this week. AHHHHHHH!!! Haha

Last year, portals for those who got accepted were not updated until a week or two later, since they were done by the admissions office rather than the school of nursing. I'm not really sure how it all works, but that's what I was told. This is my 2nd time applying.

Has anyone on here been waitlisted?
