UMSON Spring 2015

Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

I'm glad I am not alone. However it would be nice to know my decision at this point since it’s already December. The wait is agonizing.

It’s so sad. It’s the second week of December already and still nothing. It’s not fair to some of the applicants. I feel like we should know our decision at this point.

I agree.. I want to say that unfortunately I think you guys are wait listed. We have already gotten our school email and had an accepted students chat.. We also already registered for classes.

I thought so too but even if we are rejected or wait listed the admissions office should let us know instead of keeping us hanging. I already got into towson so I want to know my decision from Maryland so I can move on.

@patientsoul, I feel like they still have not decided on you guys yet and think you got a better chance of getting picked than us wait list people. I know there were people who got notified about their acceptance in late Dec. My advice would be to go ahead and do all the things you need to do for Towson while still keeping an eye on this. I know it can put a dent on your budget but if your really want UMSON it will be worth it. Although I am on the wait list, I am stilling checking surf to see if there is any news.

Congrats to you guys. Still no news for me. At least I know there is hope that I might possibly be accepted
