UMSON Spring 2015

Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

Hi guys, I applied to the Shady Grove campus and my status is still on committee ready! I came across this website just yesterday and found it awesome! To those still waiting, it’s hard to be patient at this time but hang in there!! And those already accepted CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I got accepted to the Baltimore campus. I got my letter and I paid my $400 tuition down-payment. I hear that early registration for Spring starts Nov 17. How do I go about doing all of that. I'm lost. HELP! lol

Dont worry about registration. The lady said we are guaranteed a spot and every section meets at the same time. You log on to SURFS to register I think.

I desperately need my acceptance letter! Has anyone gotten theirs yet? My fiance isn't home till thanksgiving and I really need to wait until then to give my final decision cause we have a lot we need to figure out before I move there and I don't want to miss the acceptance deadline!!

I got my acceptance letter yesterday. You have 14 days from the date of the letter to submit payment. My letter was dated Nov 10th

Woohoo! I received my acceptance letter the day before yesterday. I was so happy to finally receive it. I sent off my seat acceptance and deposit right away. My letter was dated Nov. 10 and was postmarked the next day. It took a bit longer to get to me than I would have expected (I am fairly close).

I guess it's time to buckle in and get ready for the ride...

P.S. I hope everyone waiting hears back soon. Waiting is the pits.

Hey everyone, I've been gone for a while. Sorry! Yes, like EEtoRN, I'm hoping to see good news from those of you who have not heard from admissions yet. Update us!

Also, yeah, EEtoRN I'm buckling down too. Just bought the background check (90-something dollars whaaaat), and I'm wondering about that drug test we must do. At least there isn't a set deadline I've seen so far, other than orientation of course.
