UMSON Spring 2015

Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

@kristens - Congrats! I'm not holding my breath that the rest of us non-guaranteed folks will be hearing anytime soon, but it would be so wonderful to hear this week.

I don't remember if this was addressed or not. For those who were waiting to get their titers, it isn't any specific paperwork you need to have filled out at UMSON. You just need documentation that you did receive it from your doctor (lab report or physician verification of results). You then upload it.

Thank you everyone for all of the advice. It really makes me feel better knowing what I would need to do to prepare. But I have to say the suspense is just killing me right now!

Hey guys, saw some of you needed roommates in Baltimore and I do too (if I get in) so I wanted to post in here... I am 21 years old, looking for something cheap (Preferably under $700 a person), in the city, and semi close (I don't mind driving to campus).

Hi everyone,

So I got in! I was waitlisted last semester and actually started at Montgomery College this fall. I just got my call a few minutes ago. Now I have to decide what to do...I'm grateful I got in but it's such a hard decision now!

Em843! I'm so happy for the good news! I just got a call a few minutes ago and thought it was UMSON but it was someone in Texas... haha! Anyway, glad it all worked out this time around! Haha choose wisely!
