UMSON Fall 2015

Published

REMINDER!!! The deadline to submit your Fall application is nearing. As of now, the deadline has not changed from February 2 (short of 4 weeks away).

This is my second time applying--I was wait listed for the Spring term. Currently, I am studying to take my TEAS exam again on January 27th. This exam was the only portion of my application I was not confident in. I scored a 70% without refreshing my memory on key concepts by studying before hand. I did find the test to be a "you either no it or you don't" kind of thing so from personal experience--STUDY!

I have no outstanding prerequisites and my sciences are as follows:

AP1. -- B

AP2. -- A

CHEM -- B

MICRO -- A

I had the privilege of chatting with the last group of students and found this forum to be quite helpful! Please use this post as a way of communicating, sharing experiences, and giving advice. Hopefully, we will be classmates in the Fall!:)

Hello everyone. I've been following this thread for a while and was wondering if there are any FNPs who have not yet heard a decision. I'm nervous that I might be the only one still waiting for a decision....my status as been "committee ready" for months now...I did not get selected for any interview:(....and my nerves have gotten the best of me. I guess this means I've been denied.

Congrats to all who have been accepted :)

Oh yeah! Just changed to committee ready! Yikes!! So nervous... Fingers crossed!!

@nessy_luv

have you (or anyone else who have been accepted into a DNP program) received an email or any other information on how to make a deposit? I want to make this permanent! lo

@tjones123 no I just saw my application status online. However, I did call admissions and they said o should be receiving something in the mail "real soon".

to those in the DNP program- are you planning on doing 3 4 or 5 year plan and what do you plan on doing as far as working? trying to decide my life for next semester :)

I'm going to do three years full time and work a PRN position and take out loans

I had my CNL interview today and overall the process went really really really well! And having had a truly eventual morning leading up to the interview (I actually got into a car accident and was hit by another car on my way to the interview) I'm so glad that I left with a smile on my face in one piece!

I'm looking forward to getting my decision! :)

I applied to FNP to DNP as well. I didnt receive an interview email and my status is still comittee ready. Admissions did say that they may have another set of interviews end of april if space is available. But my gpa wasnt too great and my app was completed after deadline, so im not too bothered that I haven't heard nething...

I'm planning to do the 4 year plan and work full time as long as possible (may have to drop to part time or something later in the program if clinicals get too busy).

I'm getting so anxious!

Has anyone heard anything from admissions?

@BlessedNurs, BSN. I'm so glad I'm not the only FNP applicant one who is still in "committee ready." well, hope we both hear something by the end of April :)

Hello everyone,

I applied to the UMSON. I am a tradition BSN applicant and I hope to get admitted. I thought the letters were coming last month but everyone is saying this month??? I applied to Shady Grove but I know it is a limited number of applicants. My status is still committee ready but I hope it changes soon. Does anyone known an official time when they will start informing applicants of their acceptance???? The wait is brutal.....
