Who is applying?

Our applications were due Sept. 15 and I believe 1st round of calls went out Nov. 1st.

I'd imagine they'll stick with that time frame :)

Hi everyone, just wanted to chime in again. Hope everyone is staying hopeful and as a positive as possible! Has anyone' status changed in their application? When I just checked, mine's still says 'ready for review. I think when I applied last year, I received notice that I was waitlisted like the first or second week of April, so I'm assuming that is around when the all of the decisions are being sent out. Sincerely hope we can all hear good news in about a month or so then!! Best wishes!

Mine has been complete and ready for review since they rolled my application over from the fall application cycle (when I was wait-listed).

I think the group of applicants last semester figured out they do definite acceptances and rejections first and then work their way to the middle, so the waitlisters always find out last!

Last year I was waitlisted and I found out pretty late that I was not accepted. It is probably different in terms of how competitive it is between the different cycles/season. I am not really sure what to think at this point, but I made an effort for this application to talk more about my brief experience as a CNA. I'm not sure if that will make a difference or not, but I did not talk about it last time so hopefully they will see an improvement. I was honestly kind of hoping I would get in last time because I was so happy to even get waitlisted, but I guess all I can do is hope for the best in April. Hello everybody

This is my first time using the allnurses.com.

I have a question... I have applied for UMSON for Fall 2014, and 5 days ago my status changed to Committee Ready. What does this mean? And also, how long normally takes after your application become "committee ready" to receive an answer?

Does anybody have an answer already?

Hi gigi-us,

Last time, the decisions were sent out around early April, so as it becomes close to April, and when a decision is made, the status will change to "Decision made" or something along the lines of that. As of right now, I believe everyone's status is either committee ready or 'complete, ready for review', which means that they will be starting the review process pretty soon if not already. I applied. My application status just went "Committee Ready" today. I had been accepted to the Spring 2014 BSN program at Shady Grove, but my math requirements fell through. I even attended orientation! Got back on the horse, sent in my application, and am anxiously awaiting a response! Since I already got in once, I'm confident I'll be accepted again. My only concern now is coming up with the $400 deposit (again) in the next few weeks. I'm not sure what the turnaround time will be, since my past experience was for entry into the Spring semester. At the orientation for Spring 2014, they explained the change. The end result is the same material and same education (it has to be,) but the names of classes changed (obviously) and I think it had to do with how they wanted to divide the material between the classes. I'll look back on my notes from orientation and see what they had to say about it. I was supposed to start this spring, but my math requirement didn't pan out, so I had to reapply for the fall. And from what I could tell, class schedules and required textbooks don't really change either.

Do you know if there is indeed a difference between 'committee ready' and 'complete ready for review' (did your application ever say complete ready for review, or did it go straight to committee ready?). It was "Complete, Ready for Review" and now it is "Committee Ready." This is the same as when I applied for the spring semester. Back then, after Committee Ready, my application moved on to "Waitlisted" and then "Provisional Admit." The entire process took from Sept. 15 to Dec. 11. I think I received my "waitlisted" decision in late November. (approx. 2 months, plus a few days) I wonder if the decision timeline is the same for spring as it is for the fall.

The status goes from Requirements Outstanding, to Complete and Ready for Review, to Committee Ready. At this point the application is ready to be voted on. Then, if the applicant is to be admitted, the status changes to either Admit Institution (if the applicant has no outstanding prerequisite courses) or Provisional Admit (if the applicant does have outstanding courses).

Hello, Grey Lady. I have a question about my application status.

On my online application, it says:

Application Status: Complete ready for review

Decision: Committee ready

I am very confused which one is my application status. Thank you.
