UMSON CNL FALL 2020

Hey,

Just reaching out to see if anyone is applying for the UMSON CNL program for Fall 2020. I know the application opened October 1st.

Did any late applicants receive their interview invite today?

I applied 2/17 and heard back 3/25. Extremely nervous regarding the writing sample and the interview. Obviously it will be held via webcam due to COVID-19, but still sending the kids off on a car ride with dad and dressing professionally for it. Does anyone who has been accepted have any tips? Thanks!

I haven't recieved a decision but I did my interview via online as well 2 weeks ago.. I just got accepted into Johns Hopkins. So hopefully UMSON will send me a decision quick so I can make my decision..

I thought the interview wasn't too bad! It was pretty basic and straightforward. My advice is always to come prepared with questions. For the writing sample, it's kind of odd but just do the best you can. I wrote like two short paragraphs (like 4 sentences each). I accidentally repeated myself too and I was still accepted, so dont beat yourself up over it!

Hey, I hope your interview goes/went great! The interview was not bad at all. Very conversational, so just be genuine. I discussed a lot of personal examples. I feel like the interview is geared towards gauging your interest in the program and also your reasoning to pursue nursing. The interviewer discussed a lot of details about the program and just wanted to get my thoughts. I agree with what MaryBethEis said about coming prepared with some questions, especially those specific to the program (helps further express your interest). Good luck!

Has anyone gotten a decision since the Corona virus situation escalated? I was told by the person I interviewed with early in March to inform them if I had an upcoming deadline from another school and they would get me a decision quickly. I tried to get in contact with them, but didn't receive much help/response.

My interview was in early March as well, but have not heard anything as of yet. I am taking it as a probable delay due to the unexpected pandemic situation. But hoping for a good news soon. ? Good luck to you!! And I wonder if anyone else has heard any decisions yet or not...

I've been following this post through the admissions process! Im wondering if anyone who was on the waitlist has been notified of any new information? I am on the waitlist and really want to know my chances of getting in but they don't reveal waitlist rankings ?

Sorry, I know this isn’t the answer to your question! But when did you apply? And have you applied/do you plan to apply for Spring 2021 while you wait to hear? ?

I applied for Fall 2020 and submitted my application in January. I got the waitlist offer on April 23rd! & honestly not 100% sure about Spring 2021. For now I'm really hoping to get in for Fall
