  1. Thanks! Good luck. It feels more like a conversation than an interview. If you read previous tips from other cohort chats they are spot on. I felt like I just talked about why what I was doing now lead me to be interested in this program. They want to make sure you are a good match as it’s a rigorous program. I was a bit nervous but as it went on I felt super comfortable and it felt like a normal flowing conversation. Hi Ciara, please see what I said to @Jasmine Blowe. Just be yourself and elaborate on your interests and what lead to6 to be interested in the program.
  2. Hey, I hope your interview goes/went great! The interview was not bad at all. Very conversational, so just be genuine. I discussed a lot of personal examples. I feel like the interview is geared towards gauging your interest in the program and also your reasoning to pursue nursing. The interviewer discussed a lot of details about the program and just wanted to get my thoughts. I agree with what MaryBethEis said about coming prepared with some questions, especially those specific to the program (helps further express your interest). Good luck!
  3. I applied to both UMSON and Johns Hopkins. Even before getting responses, I knew UMSON was my top choice. JH has a great program, but the cost just did not justify it for me. I currently work for Hopkins and the nurses that did programs through JH say you're paying for the name. The UMSON program you are still getting the MSN and are eligible to sit for a CNL certificate exam (which is an added bonus). Both programs rank high up on the U.S. News and World Report (Hopkins #1 for the MSN and UMSON #2 for the Master's CNL). Either route you are getting fantastic education and I feel that goes to say about any master's entry-into-nursing program. Good luck to everyone this upcoming fall! Keeping all us future nurses in my thoughts right now with everything going on.
  4. Okay so the cohort size is 56 every semester. They are still admitting students. She explained that they do waves of admitting, especially in regards to the early decision and regular decision.
  5. I am doing the accepted students chat tomorrow and can let everyone know any details. I am going to ask the typical cohort size and if they are still accepting students.
  6. I was just offered a waitlist spot as well and applied in December. NursingCAS adjusted GPA is 3.5 and experience doing community health work (working for Hopkins). However, I am not going to accept the waitlist spot. I have already accepted an offer for the Fall 2020 UMSON MSN, CNL program and they were my top choice. So excited to start school again! CONGRATS to everyone who has been accepted! Good luck to everyone on the waitlist and who will re-apply.
  7. I was just accepted as well! Good luck to everyone! I feel like the extra info is helpful so here is mine for reference: Applied: Jan. 1 Interview invite: Feb. 2 Interview date: Feb. 17 (in person) Acceptance: March 6th.
