Are you applying for UMSON CNL Fall 2019 program?

Everyone keep a look out in your emails!!!! I just got an email stating I was accepted!! =D Anyone else? Positive vibes sent everyones way!!!

congrats @Nurse2b2021 I have received the acceptance email this morning.

@nursinglove12 Congrats!!!! Are you going to be accepting? Are you local or out of state?

I got an email too! I can't believe it!

@jbrow459 yay!!! congrats!! Is there a Facebook page set up for the fall 2019 class?

Congrats everyone!! So glad you didn't have to wait long for a decision.

Got my acceptance letter this morning also. Congratulations everyone!!!! Did anyone make a Facebook page yet?

Congrats everyone, I am excited for you all. Never got an interview email so I guess will attempt spring 2020. Does anyone know if they send out rejection letters?

@EndoWarrior I believe SURFS will update and an email or letter is sent. From what I've read of past application cycles, there could still be another wave of interviews and acceptances/rejections. I'm in the same position as you, though, and am starting to work on my Spring 2020 application. Does anyone know when Spring usually opens?

@CNLMom3 I do not think there is one yet. I was wondering the same thing! @elegantcheese stay hopeful last year people were still finding out in April. Especially because not everyone accepts their offers.

My SURFS account has updated to show MSN and like others, I no longer have the decision line. I wonder if it will appear once a decision has been made. Did anyone call to find out if this is some sort of glitch?

It also doesn't have "Committee Ready" or "Complete Ready for Review" anymore. So strange...

Apparently, it's not a good sign if your SURFS account changes. I got my official rejection email this afternoon. It stings but I'm looking forward to applying for Spring.

For those of you who have been accepted, I'd love any insight into your application and how I can improve mine. I felt my essay was strong but maybe I went a little too emotional with it rather than explaining exactly why I'm choosing the CNL path. Would any of you be willing to let me know what angle you took with your essay? We all have incredibly different backgrounds, so the detail of the essay isn't as important. I'm really just wondering how you structured the essay. Did anyone include anything extra with your application? Also, I've mentioned before that I have a low GPA from undergrad. Unfortunately, it's not something I can change by taking more classes now. If you also had a low GPA previously, did you try to explain it with this application? Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, insights. I'm hoping the next semester will be for me.

And, most importantly, best of luck to everyone who has been accepted! I truly hope you do well in the program and become amazing CNLs someday!
