UMSON CNL Fall 2019

Are you applying for UMSON CNL Fall 2019 program?

@nursedooode What are your stats? I don't have a great undergrad GPA (2.8 or 2.9 and this was 10+ years ago. I am doing this as a career/life change) or clinical experience but I've got a 4.0 in my prereqs (those not outstanding but feeling good about these classes), and thought my application materials were pretty strong. I'd hate to think my past is still going to haunt me like this. Spring will be less competitve, so I'll definitely be trying again.

@elegantcheese interestingly enough I have the same stats as you [plus a masters degree in another area - that gpa is 3.5] plus clinical experience. I also have chemistry in progress - I didn't think that would be a big deal...but I suppose it is.

@nursedooode Well, it's not over til it's over, right? Maybe they just haven't gotten to our applications yet. I'm just all in my head about it. This waiting is torture! I hope you have a nice weekend and sending you good vibes that your interview invite will be there on Monday ? .

@elegantcheese if I hear something...I'll let you know

Staying hopeful for everyone. I applied to CNL programs last year and didn’t get accepted so I know how tough the waiting game is.

This is a shot in the dark but I live on the west coast and have an interview scheduled over Skype first thing Monday morning and I’m starting to wonder if the time they gave me was EST or PST. I assumed PST at first but now I’m thinking EST. It’s too late to email now so I’m wondering if any other applicants who don’t live on the east coast or did their interview over Skype can help me out. Either way I’ll have to clear my schedule and just be ready at the early time. Good luck everyone!

@Alexam . The interview timings are EST.

@nursinglove12 Thank you! That helps a lot. Did you do your interview over Skype?

Does anyone else have the “application status” line missing now?

My status was Complete and Ready for Review until they changed the degree line from MS to MSN on Thursday. The font of the changed degree name is larger now, so I’m hoping it’s a technical form error.

I know it doesn't mean a rejection, but wouldn't want myself or others not considered due to a computer glitch. You can't get an "Admit Institution" or a "Reject application" until after Committee Review has been done.

@Sunflowers102 I'm sure it's just a computer glitch but I would call just in case.

My status has changed to "provisional admit". My interview was just last Thursday and they told me 4 weeks. Is this an error? Anyone else get this?

Wow @jbrow459 ! Congrats! I'm pretty sure that means YOU'RE IN!!! Let us know if you find anything out. Regardless, I think its a very good sign!
