UMSON BSN FALL 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if there are any students that applied to University of Maryland School of Nursing for the BSN program for Fall 2020. I see a thread for Spring 2020, but not one for Fall as of yet. If so, do you mind posting your grades/TEAS scores. Mine are listed below.

3.85 overall GPA

3.9 science GPA

TEAS: still waiting on my results (took it today)

Hope to hear from you all. Thanks,

Jay

That's good! I applied to Stevenson and Towson also. I was rejected by Towson, but I'm still waiting to hear back from Stevenson. Fingers crossed?

I was denied from Towson too1 couldn’t believe it. But I'm also applying to Frostburg and Notre Dame

HI GUYS.

For those people who got accepted into CCBC FALL (evening/weekend) are you going to accept it? I got accepted and have to respond by the 13th. I am fearfully waiting to hear back from UMSON since it is my first choice. I am not sure if I will get decision before that time, I also don't want to lose this seat if I get denied at umson. WHY ARE THEY TAKING SO LONG TO MAKE A DECISION ?

SOMEONE ADVICE ME PLEASE!!! I AM SO CONFUSED.

I am in the exact same predicament. I was thinking of just paying the fee if push comes to shove.

I will hold on till April 12th and see what happens. which session did you get into? Day or Evening?

My friend got her reply from Towson ATB yesterday! She got in. Now I wished I applied to Towson ATB.

whoa... has your status changed to that too?

It says 'Committee Review' now. When I checked earlier today it was still showing 'Completed' as it has since I finished the application.

so does complete mean they haven’t looked at your application or?

Not sure. I seem to recall looking through previous years that 'Committee Review' or 'Committee Ready' stuck around for a while. But with the pandemic and admissions people likely working from home who knows how things have changed. I was reading an article the other day saying admissions departments are having a hard time figuring out acceptance numbers and whatnot given possible travel and visa bans affecting foreign students, potential personal fears about the continuing pandemic even come August/September, and possible financial stresses due to unemployment affecting parents' and students' college decisions. The article was stating that was generally making schools LESS selective so that has me more bummed now, but who knows what is going on at UMSON. Maybe they're being very conservative with how they dole out guaranteed admissions slots and then will likely use a larger pool of waitlisted students? That's my hope I'm clinging to at least. Then again maybe they just wanted to see more of my current class GPA as I have 3 of my 7 prerequisites still in progress and my undergrad GPA wasn't that hot (a 3.07). I feel like my TEAS, essays, and resume were excellent/unique but who knows.

I was not accepted. Good luck everyone!
