UMSON BSN FALL 2020

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if there are any students that applied to University of Maryland School of Nursing for the BSN program for Fall 2020. I see a thread for Spring 2020, but not one for Fall as of yet. If so, do you mind posting your grades/TEAS scores. Mine are listed below.

3.85 overall GPA

3.9 science GPA

TEAS: still waiting on my results (took it today)

Hope to hear from you all. Thanks,

Jay

Update: teas score was an 84%

Hi Jay,

I take my TEAS this week. I should know by Thursday.

Overall GPA: 3.6 Science GPA: 3.2

I'm sure you'll get in! Congratulations on your hard work showing off. Did you already complete and submit all your required documents? Which location are you wanting to attend?

Hey gonnagetit,

thanks for your reply! It’s been a long journey and I’m super excited and a little bit anxious to start this new chapter. Yes, I completed my application package a few weeks ago, and plan on attending the Rockville location. How about you? Oh, and good luck on the teas, sure you’ll do well ❤️.

gonnagetit,

I also applied for the Conway scholarship ????.

This thread has been surprisingly quiet! I'm finishing up my application for the Baltimore location.

JDtoRN,

I was thinking the same thing LOL. What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? (TEAS, GPA)

TEAS: 91.2%

Undergraduate GPA: 3.8 (I am a former attorney and am unsure if they will include my law school GPA in calculations)

Excellent stats JDtoRN! My stats are listed below. I finished up my application a few weeks ago, now just can’t wait to hear back.

Thanks! This is the only program I am applying to as I am local in Baltimore, so I am very hopeful! Are you applying to any other programs?

Nope! This is the only program I am applying to. Keeping my fingers crossed ??.

It's the only school I'm applying to as well (Baltimore campus). I'm currently taking my last three prerequisites (A&P II, Chem, Human Growth & Development). 3.5 science GPA in A&P I and Microbio. Probably around a 3.7 for prerequisites as a whole.

I'm an adult learner eleven years out of undergrad (3.06 GPA - I never anticipated going back to school so didn't prioritize as much as I should have ?).

92% on my TEAS but I will probably retake it if I don't get accepted once I finish A&P II as there were a few questions I guessed at that are going to be covered this semester (got an 85% on the Science part)

I'm hoping an adult male with two wildly different former careers will boost my chances and make up for my sub-par undergrad GPA. ?
