UMSON Baltimore/Shady Grove BSN FALL 2019

Hi All! I wanted to see who has applied for UMSON for the fall 2019 Semester. I have applied for the Baltimore campus. I am very nervous, as I retook two classes, so my current overall GPA of 3.75 will go down to a 3.3 as they factor that in. For an overall science GPA, mine is an 3.8. On the TEAS, I received a 73.3 overall, Having and 82 on the reading, and 87 on math. I also have experience at a nursing home that I currently work at now. Has any one else applied? Which campus? I have also heard that UMSON takes long to get back and most won't hear until April. I turned in my application on Jan 29., and I keep looking like they would have already said something hahah. Hope to hear back soon!

Did you get both packages? There’s a free one and one that you have to pay for (IIRC, the paid one is the one with the background check).

I only really received something for the drug test. For the immunizations, I just called up my PCP and she gave me lab orders for the titers.

Gotcha, okay that was what I was most confused about, I figured out the other part right after I asked... naturally lol.

Yeah, they sent it to my personal email address a few days after submitting the deposit and setting up UMID credentials.

how did you get the free one from castle branch? I couldn’t get it because, when I fill out the order registration, there was no fall 2019 on classification section.

I e-mailed the contact listed on the compliance drop down. She said it was ok to use Spring 2019.

Another question for anyone that knows before I contact them, I remember them going over it in the live chat but can't remember exactly what was said.

I know that in order to receive our ID cards we need to register for classes, but for baltimore we need to wait until after UMSON101, I guess my question is, do we submit the information and then wait until after we register to pick it up or do we need to wait until after we are registered to submit the information. Hopefully that makes sense lol. I'm so anxious amount messing this stuff up.

Haha I hear your anxiety I'm the same way. I think we submit the photo and stuff now.

Does anyone know about this new laptop requirement?

Apparently, you can't even use iPads! I'm scared. Will they confiscate it or something? I was planning to take notes in lectures with Goodnotes/Notability #creativenotes

I think you might be able to use them for notes, but they just wont be compatible with the some software. I still plan on using my MacBook, but with parallels to run Windows 10 on it.

Just curious...

Did anyone (Shady Grove) preorder their books?

They're not listed yet on the bookstore website. The email that Kathie sent out and when we spoke on the phone she said to order them...

I guess I’ll just wait till UMSON 101. I can’t wait to meet y’all!
