UMSON Baltimore/Shady Grove BSN FALL 2019

Hi All! I wanted to see who has applied for UMSON for the fall 2019 Semester. I have applied for the Baltimore campus. I am very nervous, as I retook two classes, so my current overall GPA of 3.75 will go down to a 3.3 as they factor that in. For an overall science GPA, mine is an 3.8. On the TEAS, I received a 73.3 overall, Having and 82 on the reading, and 87 on math. I also have experience at a nursing home that I currently work at now. Has any one else applied? Which campus? I have also heard that UMSON takes long to get back and most won't hear until April. I turned in my application on Jan 29., and I keep looking like they would have already said something hahah. Hope to hear back soon!

girl me too! I was looking at other posts and i believe it says not accepted or waitlisted if it’s not for sure. I hope we can find out soon!

Same, still committee ready. I just went back and looked at the email I got when I first applied and it looks like the status will change whether admitted, waitlisted or rejected:

Committee Ready - Your application materials are being reviewed by the admissions committee.

Admit-Institution - Your application has been reviewed and you have been offered admission.

Provisional-Admit - Your application has been reviewed and you have been offered provisional admission. Your offer letter will explain why you were provisionally admitted.

Wait Listed - You were a competitive applicant. However, due to limited spaces you were not offered admission.

Reject - Application - Your application materials were reviewed carefully in relation to the other applicants for the program. However, the School of Nursing is unable to offer you admission for the application term.

EDIT: this was in the email I got in response to paying the application fee with my student ID number. Scrolled down a bit and it had that info

It’s to my understanding that they accept in waves. So they’ll tell a couple ppl they’re accepted then they see who takes the offer and who doesn’t, then based off that they release more acceptances in order to make sure they don’t accept too much or too little ppl. That’s what I’ve seen happen in previous threads.

I just got admitted to Baltimore Campus! I’m so excited! Congrats to everyone ?

Do we know when they release scholarship info or when they send an email out with more info? It’s strange that they don’t send an email when they release decisions...

those who got accepted: did you get a call or email? I am abroad right now and can not receive calls so I hope they send an email!

I think everyone is just finding out via status change on the application site for now. I believe they will mail a physical letter a week after your status changes online.

I found out via status change on my application, it says:

Application Status: Decision Made

Decision: Provisional-Admit

My friend told me they change the status of your application first and then they mail your official acceptance offer the following week.

Does anyone know typically how long after the status change we should expect the letters so I’m not stalking my mailbox lol

Ha! I have no idea but I imagine they were probably stuffing envelopes as they changed status. So however long snail mail takes.

Haha! Get Informed Delivery from the USPS app, usually by 8am I know what’s going to be in my mailbox!
