Hi everyone!

I just got my acceptance letter and am super excited!!! :yeah:

So I wanted to post and see who some of my new friends are going to be! Let me know if you are accepted and I'd love to chat with you!

Thanks! I hope I get SOMETHING in the mail tomorrow, even if it's a letter telling me they are full for January so at least I know.

They lost 2 of my progress reports and one of my transcripts, so my application wasn't final until 11/6 when they finally confirmed they had it all and it would go before the next application committee (which was supposed to be this week sometime).

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi there,

I got accepted for stratford program. I am looking for someone who is allready in program. Someone who can guide me about schedule as I am trying to figure it out what kind of schedule we will have.

I would appreciate if any current student can help me. I am a single parent and need to make arrangements for evening or night schedule or shift. Only if it is required.

Please reply if anyone can to my post if you are current or past ASBN stratford student.

Do you have to interview for the A-BSN program? I applied for Spring 2010 but I turned in the app really late (just a week ago) so I think I am going to re-apply for fall.

Yea!!! I just got my acceptance letter for January! I am very excited! I was beginning to think they were going to push me to the May start...

Now I just need to get these forms back to them by next Wednesday. Nothing like making you wait and then making you hurry up!

I found out two days ago that i am accepted into Newarks program.

So how about that Dec 2 deadline. Hope the post office can deliver it on time considerng its a holiday today and my acceptance package is yet to arrive. I found out via email.

Hope this isn't a sign of how everything else is ran here lol

congrats! another girl and I found out almost 3 weeks ago via mail... aaaaaaaand we haven't received our packages yet... the deadline isn't even until Dec. 1 soo :-) I'm sure you should be ok!

Thanks! Congrats to you all too! I am super excited just wish our orientation was sooner, especially iwth the holidays around the corner, doesnt give us much time to absorb all the information and hopefully get all of our things together by the start date. But i guess we should be prepared to not have a life for the next few months!

Orientation is only a few weeks away! FYI ipod touches are on sale today... and they are a "suggested" form of PDA for us :-)

Where do you guys live? Are you going to be commuting?

I'm hoping to apply to UMDNJ Stratford within a year. Getting my pre-reqs done now. I was wondering, however, did you find that the school placed a lot of emphasis on the grades you received while getting your first bachelors? Or were they more concerned with the pre-requisite grades in A&P, chem, etc? Could you tell at all?

I didn't end up with the most impressive of GPAs first time around. It was > 3.0 for the longest time, but ended up a 2.85. I really screwed up in my final semester. But this was 5 years ago. I'm a different person now. I have a real goal and this is something I'm determined to accomplish. I guess I'm just hoping they can see past the blunders of my youth!

From what I heard at the orientation session at UMDNJ last summer, and what I've read on this site, they are sticklers about the 3.0 or better on your undergrad GPA, unless you have a grad degree as well with a higher GPA.

You should call and speak with the contact person at Stratford and ask them before you decide whether to apply here or at another school that may consider more elements other than just your undergrad GPA. You need a 2.75 or better in the pre-requisite subjects (which is kinda contradictory to the overall GPA of 3.0!).

Have you guys received the information for the mandatory orientation session (Newark) on Dec. 14-15? Other than the acceptance letter with the list of forms, background check, etc. I haven't received anything else yet.

I have not purchased a PDA yet, as I figured I'd wait and see what they told us at orientation.

I will be commuting from the Denville area. Where are you located? Anybody coming from this area?
