Did anyone apply yet? I submitted my application and documents in, but NursingCAS is a bit annoying. I had to call them several times about them claiming to not receive all the pages from my references How are you guys making out with the process?

Hi Everyone,

I was just notified of my acceptance...evidently the acceptance letter was lost in the mail...so I am trying to make a decision on UMDNJ vs. Georgetown or NYU ASAP. Any current A-BSN students at UMDNJ or grads from the program on this forum? I think hearing your opinions would be very helpful. UMDNJ is the least well known of the 3 schools I am deciding between but it is BY FARRR the cheapest; hence my consideration. Any thoughts on experiences with UMDNJ would be a great help to me. I love love loveee Georgetown and they put on a phenomenal meet and greet prior to sending acceptance letters and despite the cost I am having a hard time letting go with little to no knowledge on the program at UMDNJ specifically. Hi. I'm a 3rd level student at UMDNJ. From experience the Admissions department has claimed to have lost my stuff as well. You won't be the last. The program has been good. You get 90 hours of clinical experience for each clinical. If you also got accepted in Georgetown and NYU then I'm sure you'll do well in the program. First semester is Foundations, Health Promotions, Informatics, Pathophysiology, and Health Assessment. I think clinicals won't start until 3 weeks in. Level 1 is hardest for some only because of learning how to manage your time, but when looking back it is the easiest level. Let me know if you want more info.

Hey all! I had finished my application in august for spring 2012, I was notified that received everything but I have not gotten a rejection or acceptance letter yet and its driving me crazy...anyone else hear back this late or still waiting?

Also for those that were accepted when do you have to notify the school by?

I was accepted into another program but I would like to go to UMDNJ but this waiting game is driving me crazy. I called and email but no one ever answered the phone. Any suggestions?

I got accepted for spring 2012 newark campus. I got my acceptance letter in September and then gave them a deposit for a criminal background check and tuition that same month.

From reading the threads I have noticed that applicants are still getting accepted so perhaps there is still hope for you. Good luck!

hey melbsnhope, i'm in the same boat as you. i applied in the beginning of august, still waiting. last time i called, i was told that they are waiting for one more "comment" on my application and then i will be notified, and afterwards get a letter. this wait is ridiculous though.. i was hoping to give my job a one month notification of resignation so i can start the program, but i don't know if that can happen now....

to those accepted to the newark campus, when is the first day of classes?

melbsnhope... I am also still waiting, I applied first week of september. I called them last friday and they said that all students will definetely be notified by the 23rd of November. It also says it in their website, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

enilrek.. I think the first day of classes is right after New Years, either the 2nd or the 3rd of January.

Thank you! That is helpful. Just wanted to see how someone in the program liked it and felt about it! I spoke to Kathy Colin to ask all of my questions and she was so condescending and rude to me it really turned me off. I just needed someone to confirm that saving the money and going to UMDNJ wouldn't be a huge mistake.

If you plan on furthering your education beyond the BSN then go the cheapest route of getting your BSN. And who knows, maybe you will work for a hospital that will pay for you to advance your education!
