Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!
Hmm, so it sounds as if those of us who did our interviews Valentine's week probably won't hear anything today. At my interview, the interviewer asked me if I was Ok hearing on March 1, or if I needed a decision earlier because of other pending admissions, acceptances, etc. I told her that March 1 was fine. Now I wish I had said I needed it earlier!
SNP22, I wonder what she meant by "this round," however. Do you know? My application was complete on November 5, so I would probably consider myself as in the first round. I know some people are now in the process of being interviewed, so it definitely sounds like they are doing this in waves.
Yes the process is definitely in waves since it's rolling admissions! My application was complete by November 10th, so I'd assume those of us who had our interview 2 weeks ago, should all hear back around the same time...hopefully sooner rather than later!!
And Juliet, I actually did say I need my decision expedited to meet a certain deadline (due to pending deadlines and scholarships from other schools) but that deadline has passed... (I was able to rearrange some stuff and I told them that deadline was no longer an issue)...so it does seem like they may just have an overload of applicants and they're running behind.
Oh man, I really hope I can get an interview. I just started pursuing the nursing track and found this program only a few weeks ago. App is sent in, but since there's high volume of applicants, I wonder what my chances are :\
Would anyone happen to know if you get rejected, does any of your app materials roll over when you reapply?

Mine is on March 5th. I will using this weekend to have mock interviews with friends to prepare. The CNL question I am still stuck on. My personal reason for CNL was because it was a masters program and I did not want to go for another bachelors although I will if needed.
Other than that, I understand CNL role is more evidence based method and care along with preparing for a leadership role as a Nurse ie Charge nurse and of course the ability to take the CNL licensure
