UMD CNL FALL 2018

Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!

Mine came in the morning -- like, 10:30 or so, I think?

My email came in the morning as well!

I got an email this morning asking me to set up my UMID account... Did anyone else get this email?

My interview invite was also in the morning, around 10AM.

@SNP22 - I received an email to set up my UMID account a week or 2 ago! For anyone else wondering, at the top of the e-mail it specifies that this is not an admissions letter!

Thanks for the info ltaylor. I was just confused why we would need to set up the account. I will go ahead and do that now I guess. Thanks!

Did you submit all questions or just one? I just re-read the instructions and it clearly says not to that or you may be disqualified. I am freaking out right now. I was thinking all questions were apart of the assignment.

@Aapage87 I'm sure it's okay! I would just call on Monday morning and let them know which one of the prompts you would like to be considered with your application :) It is clear that you took the time to complete the writing assignment, so I really don't think they would penalize you!

Just some advice after completing the writing supplement, make sure you are mentally prepared to really focus in. I would also have a notebook and pen next to you to write some ideas down before you start writing to quickly organize your thoughts (it was helpful for me to refer back to!)

Those of you that have had your interviews, is there anything in particular that you would say is helpful in preparation for it? What did you all wear?

Hey! I had my interview on February 13th! I wore black suit pants and jacket. I really just prepared for the "stock interview" questions and felt like I was fine. I.e. Why do you want to be a nurse? Why CNL? What would your background add to UMD's cohort? It was very conversational so I wouldn't worry too much! Good luck!

Hey!

I'm not really sure- my interviewer mentioned that it was rolling admissions so they want to make sure people know as soon as possible - but she never gave a hard date that we should know! I'm anxiously waiting :(

I was told 2-4 weeks post interview. I interviewed the 14th. So for us, it could be this week or it could be mid-March...

Exciting! Anyone know if they plan to notify via email, phone or through the portal? I keep checking the admissions portal everyday thinking something will change haha
