UMD CNL FALL 2018

Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!

For the interview, is it a panel of people or just one person.

Aapage87, just one person. Also, were you able to talk to someone about the essays?

And SNP22, I would assume they notify via e-mai first. Then I'm sure shortly after the decision will show up on the portal. This is based on my assumptions on what I've read on other forums, so I am not positive! I think they do call later that week or something as well.

No, I did not yet. I am quote nervous to do so. I think I want to do it in person on the 5th of March when I have my interview. Person to person, I think will be more effective. I read on the FAQs the interview is the critical part so I am working with my mentor to really kill this interview and then after I will explain what happened.

Has anyone applied to Georgetown as well? I hear the first week in March we are to hear results. There is no discussion board for Georgetown that I know of

I'm very nervous about my interview in two days (March 1st); does anybody have any advice for me going in? Thank you.

isgvfj, You'll be fine! They try to make the interview as conversational as possible, so just try not be nervous. Best of luck :)

Those who interviewed the first week of available interviews (Feb 13th and 14th), we are officially past the 2 week mark...so should be any day now...

Does anyone have anymore information on this?

During my interview, they indicated that I would hear something March 1 -- today. One thing that is confusing me is where admission status would be/will be posted online. If I log into Surfs/admissions website, it just shows my application is committee ready/ready for review. Is that where I am supposed to be logging in? I've had my interview and done my writing test. Guessing they will notify by email, but not sure. Anyone know where you can check status online?

I am pretty sure that they notify via e-mail also, but I think your status should update as well at some point - I just don't know when. From other things I've read, the status will update from Committee Ready/Ready for Review to like "admit-institution" if you're accepted. (I've been reading through a ton of old threads, so don't hold me to this).

That is so exciting!! Good Luck to everyone. @ltaylor19 I have been doing the same as well.. I have read those who were accepted started a facebook group to continue to foster the relationships as well all go through this process.

Maybe we should contact admissions and clarify if any decisions will be sent out today? I don't want to be obsessively checking my application portal/email/phone for nothing
