After following the Fall '09 thread with great interest, I thought it might be time to start a new thread for the Spring '10 applicants since we're inching closer to the Sep 1 deadline. I have a technical question for those who have applied before. I submitted my CNL application online this morning and paid the $50 and now it seems like my application has slipped into a vortex that I don't have access to. When I log onto SURFS to check my status, the only option that it gives me is to submit a new application. Is there somewhere else on the website that I should be looking to confirm that my application has been submitted and is pending review or awaiting additional information (transcripts, recommendations, etc)? Perhaps there is a delay between when the application is submitted and when the status is visible?
Best of luck to all the other applicants...now the agonizing waiting game begins! Looking forward to giving each other support and encouragement on this thread.
This is starting to feel like a really bad boyfriend relationship. I feel so dirty and empty inside every time I check my status on SURFS but I just can't get past the seductive appeal of UMB's national rankings, their state-of-the-art simulators, the rock-bottom tuition cost, that gorgeous medical library, and--most importantly--that beautiful new student center, especially the pool!!! Oh UMB, why you treat me so bad!?!
I wonder if statuses change at all if you're not accepted. Does anyone know? I mean, waiting is one thing...and sometimes they send out acceptances in waves, it'd just be nice to know if you weren't accepted when they knew it rather than waiting for a letter and still thinking the status might change.
Does anyone know about that?
Keep up with the running guys! Pilites is good too =]

hahaha.... SO TRUE!!!! I about died when I walked through the student center... I don't believe I've seen the medical lib. but when I went to the open house earlier this year... ALL of the admission(s) ladies and men were wonderful and I did enjoy listening to the 1950's alumni in the museum give her speech and answer my questions about the pictures on the walls.... I guess it's safe to say their computers must have blown up on them.... I called today too out of sheer nerves but I kept it short and fast. But yeah the rock bottom prices are amazing... way better than doing 3 years of school RN-BSN... I want to get my BSN done-2 years and be over with it.... the RN program here is amazing, but it doesn't fit MY needs... the BSN program does; ok may this time we're down to less than 48 hrs. :smokin:

Has anyone heard anything today?! I really thought today would be the day but my status hasn't changed. It seems like the later it gets in the day the less likely we are to find out. I'm going for a run... take out my frustration on the road right?!!
Best to all :icon_hug:
