UMB Spring 2010 Applicants (BSN or CNL)

After following the Fall '09 thread with great interest, I thought it might be time to start a new thread for the Spring '10 applicants since we're inching closer to the Sep 1 deadline. I have a technical question for those who have applied before. I submitted my CNL application online this morning and paid the $50 and now it seems like my application has slipped into a vortex that I don't have access to. When I log onto SURFS to check my status, the only option that it gives me is to submit a new application. Is there somewhere else on the website that I should be looking to confirm that my application has been submitted and is pending review or awaiting additional information (transcripts, recommendations, etc)? Perhaps there is a delay between when the application is submitted and when the status is visible?

Best of luck to all the other applicants...now the agonizing waiting game begins! Looking forward to giving each other support and encouragement on this thread.

I'm pretty sure they only called the CNLs... all the BSNs are still comm. ready

Thanks for all the congratulations and support from everyone! I have a feeling they will make some calls tomorrow but I am not sure. My thinking is that the work day ends at 5...so if they didn't get to all of the CNL's hopefully tomorrow or Monday:up:

For BSN's try not to worry. There are a lot more spots for you guys, CNL was the smaller group size. You will hear soon I just know it.

I'm with you Roses are Pink!! I had trouble sleeping last night, there's no way I'm concentrating in class today and I'm sure my family would tell you I'm a bit irritable! Let's hope we hear something today. Best of Luck :coollook:

It was a very, very, very long weekend for those of us who didn't get a CNL call, knowing that others did----especially when status still says Committee Ready, not denied. Seems especially cruel to keep us hanging over a weekend. Feel stuck in limbo---don't know whether to hold out hope or start working through the stages of rejection grief. Grrrr....

I gave in and called admissions, as if there aren't enough of us stalking them already... they said they are trying to update everything online today and send out letters, TODAY. I'm really not sure if they are even calling BSN students. Maybe? But let's not sit by the phone, ugh. I just want them to change the online status, even if it's a no....I just want to stop thinking about it. I have a lab practical in micro in an hour and I can't even begin to focus on it! Pleaseeee let the suffering end today, either way.

I keep checking online!! I guess everyone is going to have an anxiety filled day. I think I'm going to get some Ben and Jerrys and wait for the verdict! Good luck everyone

so...i have not seen any change on my online status:yawn::redbeathe:o....hoping it does very soon. so i can concentrate on my presentaion today... micro exam tomorrow, and mixed unknown starts tomorrow too!!!.....i need to be focused...nd i dont see that happening if i dont get an answer....but i would try to focus REGARDLESS!.

Just finished my unknown on thursday. I got aerobactor eugenes and staph. bovine. Good luck, it was actually kinda fun, except for the waiting:)
