UMB 2010 Fall Applicants (BSN and CNL)

Ok guys, this is the new thread for everyone who is applying to the UMB FALL 2010, BSN or CNL Program . Good luck to all.

Has everyone's status gone: Complete Ready for Review?

I think CNL applicants are hearing after the BSN ones, or so it appears at any rate. I haven't heard anything yet & am awfully nervous. Created a backup plan for myself this past weekend, but I'm not sure it'll be as good for getting a job as the CNL program will be.... We'll see!!!

Yes, it seems that way to me as well. Basically everyone from my college that applied to the BSN program heard back already. I personally do not know of any other CNL applicants, but from the way things look on here no other CNLs have heard any news yet. Correct? That fact is reassuring...

However, the thing that worries me is that my status has not even gone to committee ready yet, it still only says complete ready for review...

I would start making phone calls down to UMB ASAP if I were you.... that happened to one of my lab group (people) and they were missing a copy of her CPR card.... make phone calls.... they won't get mad at you... as long as you're polite/calm about it

My status is "complete ready for review," but the decision is "committee ready". I think it's the decision part that is the only factor, but I could be wrong about that. When I called Admissions a while back, they said to expect to hear by April 1st, so I've been biding my time till then.

I'm taking Micro with someone who applied to CNL & he hasn't heard anything yet either.

Hey everyone! I heard from U of M March 4th, and had 14 days to decide and put down a deposit. They said if I didn't respond within 14 days, they would start sending out more acceptance letters to other students. So if it was due last Thursday, admissions had all of Friday to decide who to send out letters to, so I believe if you havent' heard back yet, you will hear from them this week. Good luck and can't wait to meet the incoming Fall BSN class.

Thanks, Varadex, for that info about the March 4th thing. OMG. After reading that, I went and checked my status tonight, and voila!!!!!! I am in! The online page says "Application Status: Decision Made" and "Decision: Admit Institution." The wait was so incredibly mind-boggling! I put in for the CNL Fall program. I am super excited and crazy happy at my discovery tonight! Please, everyone feel free to email me or msg me here so we can start making connections! Good luck, everyone, I can't wait to meet all of you!

P.S. Grey Lady, I didn't post anything on this board the entire time I waited to hear about my application, for fear that I would jinx myself. At any rate, I can't begin to tell you how incredibly reassuring it was to have your regular input, in the form of your posts here. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart! You're an angel!

I am a BSN applicant and haven't heard yet, hope that isnt bad news.... My status still says committee ready.

I went and checked my status tonight, and voila!!!!!! I am in! The online page says "Application Status: Decision Made" and "Decision: Admit Institution." The wait was so incredibly mind-boggling! I put in for the CNL Fall program. I am super excited and crazy happy at my discovery tonight! Please, everyone feel free to email me or msg me here so we can start making connections! Good luck, everyone, I can't wait to meet all of you!

Just spoke with admissions and the lady said that my application is complete and they have everything they need. That's the good news. The bad news is I asked her why my status has not gone to committee ready yet and it seemed like she did not know what I was talking about. She just reiterated the fact that when a decision has been made, I'll get a letter in the mail. So basically I still have no idea why my status has not changed yet.

Do not worry CNL 2010 applicants, I just talked to Renee in admissions and she said the decisions will start coming out in April. I am sure they are backed up due to the snow and other things that the committee has to do besides whether they want to admit us or not..I work here as a postdoc at UMB and want to change careers so I am waiting too..I hope everyone hears soon ....:)

Just curious Shelly, you heard about the CNL program or BSN program here at MD?

i'm curious, am i the only bsn applicant who hasn't had a status change yet or what? still committee ready.... i know they said we should hear by april i guess i'm just getting super anxious since so many other bsn applicants have already heard.
