UMass Boston Accelerated BSN 2009

I'm in the process of applying to UMass Boston's Accelerated BSN program that will start in Summer of 2009. I'm wondering if anyone has any information about the program. Has anyone applied? Has anyone been accepted or heard back?

Also I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the housing situation. I've done some research and they said they were going to build residence halls to make the University more appealing to students who don't live in the area. Does anyone know if they have started the project or when they are going to start it?

You said you are scheduled for an interview for the second week of March..I was wondering for exactly what program that is for. Is that for the Accelerated BSN 2009 program? I haven't heard back from UMass and I'm anxiously waiting. If you have any information, I would love it if you post the details. Thanks!

HI ~

I got the big R (rejection) letter on Friday. I can't understand....becasue I'm alumni with a solid B undergrad GPA, and 4.0 on all the prerequisite courses....while UMass is not my first choice, it was intended to be a backup. I'm waiting to hear from Curry, which is my first preference, this April. I hope you get in!! Good Luck! Not sure what they are looking for, but I guess they have certain criteria they have to fill!!

And oh my god!!! I can't believe you got denied admission! I am so sorry to hear that! I'm a strong believer of "everything happens for a reason", so maybe this program wasn't right for you. I've been denied admission from another school so I know exactly how you feel right now. I hope you get into Curry! Regardless of where you go, I'm sure you'll be a great nurse in the end! Good luck with everything!

Now I'm really scared! :(

Don't be scared, I'm a firm believer in "if it's meant to be then it's meant to be".....I left the Umass orientation feeling very unsure about the whole thing, but it would have been nice to have it as a safety net. I'm confident that things happen for a reason, so don't be too alarmed if you don't get in!!
