Just wanted to be sure, does everyone’s portal say “Thank you for applying to Umass Boston. The office of undergraduate admissions will review your application upon receiving required documents”? ...I have all my required documents in, is that just a generic message for everyone?

My says that too but I'm still waiting for my recommendation letters... When I called the the admissions office the woman told me that there are certain things that come up that they have to go in and manually update for each application which could explain why that message is still there?

Just waiting on a professor to send in her letter and I’ll officially be done applying for Spring 2021! Very excited and hopeful. I know someone who is in the fall 2020 cohort and I’ve heard that the first couple of weeks were rough, but praying for us all!

Anyone else here applying while in a career outside of healthcare?

Just as an FYI I spoke to admissions and they're accepting application materials through October 15th! I guess that also means they don't start reviewing applications until after that? I'm so nervous!

@martijan Really?! I’ve been anxiously waiting since the beginning of August! ? I was so excited that today was finally the day they’d start reviewing

OMG seriously?? All the sites say October 1st. Was this a recent change?

Thank you so much. I was able to get everything in and my prof understood thankfully. My only issue is that today is the deadline and portage told me they would be sending my transcripts today but I tried emailing them this morning to check if it was sent but no response from them yet. I resent an email again. I’m hoping it all works out

@Future.Derm.NP I believe the application from the student needs to be submitted by 10/1 but when I spoke to ---------------------- (transfer adm counselor for ABSN program) she said that they are accepting "materials" until 10/15. I was specifically asking about letters of recommendation bc my application status hadn't been updated yet but I'd imagine that transcripts would fall into the "materials" category! Call/email to make sure but you could be in the clear ?
