I submitted my application on February 1st for the UMass Amherst Accelerated BSN program that starts in August. I got an email a few days ago about setting up an interview either face-to-face or via the computer. I had to choose the computer option since I live in North Carolina. Anyways, my interview just ended and I wanted to see what others thought of their interview and such.
Also, I wanted to see if anyone who is currently attending there, had to have an interview before?

@MsOHKASwillbeanRN I'm actually not a current student or a graduate of the program. I applied to the school the same time as everyone else here, but will be attending UMass Boston's nursing program as it is closer to home. I went to UMass Amherst for my undergraduate degree and I loved it! Can't really say anything else for off campus housing as I lived on campus for the 4 years, but I know many of my friends and acquaintances were able to get off campus housing in the area - especially in nearby apartment complexes.

Well I got accepted into the program but put on the wait list. They said they will contact me after April 1st if their is an opening, so it is in God's hands! Hopefully I will be joining ya'll :) Best of luck to you guys, will keep you posted! :)
@embracke, Congrats, I am also going to be in the Fall 2014 class at UMass Amherst. I've tried searching facebook for the page, but can't find anything! Besides "UMass Amherst ABS 2014" can you think of anything else I can search to join?

I was also accepted and wait-listed as well! Have you heard anything back from UMass yet about any open spots? Also, do you think we will be contacted via postal mail or email??
I didn't hear anything yet. They said they wouldn't contact until after April 1st and I assume they have until orientation which I heard is mid-July to maybe even end of August to contact us. I believe they will contact by phone or email since a spot opening up is a time sensitive issue, but that's just my guess. Glad I am not the only one in this boat! :) Do you have a Plan B in case this doesn't pan out or are you waiting to hear back from any other schools? :)
