OK, so the rules have changed, and CPD is no longer enough.
I'm wondering about how to achieve the "reflective discussion" part when there are no UK registered nurses where I work.
So, all expat Brits, please let me know how you plan to maintain your NMC registration. Is anyone agreeable to contacting me, with a view to maybe planning an email/Skype discussion that we both can document?
I'm in Chicago btw, so if there are any other UK nurses here, we can meet in Panera instead : )
I'm agreeing with Grumpy here, the re-registration process is very different to the revalidation, and it requires referees that know you.
This is not what this thread is about. We are all expat nurses with CURRENT UK registration, who are able to assist each other to revalidate.
It's not appropriate to ask any of us to make claims that we have worked with you, when that is not the case. It seems that your best bet is to track down former colleagues and have them act as your referees.
We have all had to jump through a lot of hoops to keep our registration active while overseas, and nobody is going to risk their own registration by making false claims on your behalf.
Wondering if anyone can help I need a confirmer for my UK revalidation which is due end of this month. Is there anyone who still holds an active UK licence with the NMC I have all my paperwork ready, just need someone willing. Getting a little desperate now

Hi, I am in France and need to re-validate May 2023. The nurse who has previously conducted my reflective discussions has just given up her registration so can no longer help me. Advice from the NMC was to join a forum. Is anyone able to help with this please ?
