UK nurses overseas - maintaining NMC registration

OK, so the rules have changed, and CPD is no longer enough.

I'm wondering about how to achieve the "reflective discussion" part when there are no UK registered nurses where I work.

So, all expat Brits, please let me know how you plan to maintain your NMC registration. Is anyone agreeable to contacting me, with a view to maybe planning an email/Skype discussion that we both can document?

I'm in Chicago btw, so if there are any other UK nurses here, we can meet in Panera instead : )

I think this is a really kind act. ? Both of you. I may need a confirmer to revalidate & remain on the register as I will be in travelling between UK but living in Spain for a while. This is a year away but I'm worried now. Don't want to leave the register yet, still love the job. If anyone can help in the future, of course I'd appreciate it and I'll help anyone, anyway.

Thank you folks, for keeping this thread going and being there for each other!

We still have to play this game every three years, (and I've revalidated twice since this process started in 2016, thanks to you!), so this thread is just on a continuous loop, where we all show up every third year, and then disappear for the next 35 months until its time to do it again!
