Hi People
I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
hi fellow nurses!! i badly needed your help guys ! i'm currently completing my papers for the assessment stage and i'm really stressed out coz i've read in a blog that forms supporting good health should be filled out by a med practitioner that is not affiliated in the hospital that you're currently working at?is this true? i'm finding a hard time finding a doctor to claim he/she examined me for the past six months!!thank you for the response!
Hi Cha27!
I was told by my agency that any physician (including that of the hospital you are currently working at) can sign your Declaration of Good Health. In my case however, since I stopped working last year, I opted to have mine filled-out by an Internist (Pulmonologist) from another hospital. You shouldn't have any difficulties in finding someone to fill that out, as you can just visit any clinic or hospital of your choice, explain your request, and ask as to what tests will he/ she require of you for your form to be completed. As for me, only PE was done with no further lab tests required as basing on his PE, I am an essentially healthy young adult.
